Keeping our agents safe if of the utmost importance! If you are looking for more information on keeping yourself and your fellow agents safe, please review the following links and safety tips.
All of the below links and tips are suggestions from fellow realtors and not necessarily vetted or used by the Market Center. As always, use your best judgement.

Top 5 Hot Tips
1. CODE FOR TROUBLE/DANGER: If you feel unsafe during an appointment, call the front desk at 952-431-5100 and ask for the "Red Folder" for the property at (Address you are located) and pretend that we are going to be putting together an info packet for you. We know this will be code for you are in danger and can contact the police on your behalf.
2. Make sure someone knows when you are viewing a property with a stranger, listing or buyer appointment. Call the front desk if you need us to check in on you during an appointment.

3. If you feel unsafe during an appointment stay close to your exit and make up excuses of why you don't need to view the whole property.

4. Walk behind people so you always see what they are doing and so they can't push you into a room or down stairs.

5. Check Minnesota public criminal history before an appointment so you know who you are meeting with.
Open House Ettiquette
Prepare a list of items to put away before holding an open house, including but not limited to:
1) Weapons (guns, swords, knives and knife blocks, etc.),
2) Valuables (money, jewelry, laptops, mail, cellphones, heirlooms, etc.)
3) Personal documents (anything with your info on it, mail, files, etc)
4) Prescriptions and other drugs
5) Pets
6) Anything you don't want to be stolen
